April L Troy, M.D. M.P.H. is a native of Avoca. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Scranton and received both her medical degree and Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. She completed her pediatric residency and chief residency at Children’s National Medical Center, in Washington, D.C. After completing her residency, she worked in the Emergency Room at Children’s National Medical Center. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Troy resides in South Abington Township with her husband Brad and two sons. She previously served as the Pediatric Regional Education Coordinator for The Commonwealth Medical College in Scranton and is a member of the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine’s clinical faculty.
